Prince Kuhio #307 Guest Book - Year 2003
Nov 29 - Dec 6, 2003
My wife and I had a wonderful time. Even with some rainy
weather we were able to get some sun every day. The island
is very beautiful and we enjoyed snorkeling, hiking and tanning
as much as possible. Also, I personally lucked out with the
PGA Grand Slam of Golf tournament while we were here. The
Waimea Canyon, Barking Sands, and Hanalei Bay were highlights
for sure. the condo is fantastic, you have thought of everything,
right down to the small styro foam cooler! There are more things
we would like to see, so I guess we'll have to come back ... too
bad, ha! ha!

My husband and I were here for our honeymoon! We had a wonderful
time! Can't wait to come back and explore more of the island and
ocean! The snorkeling was excellent, we saw 8 turtles one morning!
They were in the same place every day! Right across the street!
the island of Kauai is so very beautiful! We hope to come back and
visit often! Thank you so much for the wonderful condo, we had an
excellent stay!

Our every need was met in #307. It is cozy and clean. The view
of the ocean and park is so relaxing. It was nice to play lovely
Hawaiian music on the stereo equipment. The kitchen had all we
needed to prepare some great meals. We enjoyed our stay. The
beach across the street provided many hours of entertainment.
Everyone was so friendly. It is sad to leave. We will be back.

I had a great time. I loved the snorkeling and the sunsets. There's
just to much to do and see. There are just no bad places to visit.
The studio was very comfortable and the view was awesome. It was
clean and well furnished.

We are from Va. Beach, Va. Spent 5 days in Honolulu before
arriving here. Wow! What an incredible difference. We
have found Kauai is so much more relaxing! We loved this
studio unit - a vary cozy and romantic place. We appreciate
the cleanliness of it as well as the convenience and extras
such as beach towels and chairs and even watershoes - thank
you :-) The view is awesome from the lanai. Went on a
Safari helicopter ride yesterday ... spectacular! Saw the Waimea
Canyon the other day - beautiful. Husband got to surf across the
street (PK) - loved it! Mukomoi hs better surf board rentals than
what we have seen elsewhere. Today we will get to see yet more
countryside of Kauai on horseback at CGM Stables. Tomorrow the
Napali Coast and cliffs on a boat tour. It was a bit of heaven
here - Thank you Jack, Dorinda and Mark - god bless you! We will
highly recommend this placed to others and hope to return.

On our honeymoon after our wedding in Maui. Thank you for this
wonderful place. We had a great time on Kauai. Snorkeling was
awesome at Tunnels Beach. Enjoyed watching the sea turtles at
Queens Bath and the Kalalau trail to Hanakapia Beach - the views
were amazing. Hit a bit of cloudy rainy weather so we didn't
get to see much of Waimea Canyon or do the hikes we wanted - next
time! Beach House Restaurant was also very good. Enjoyed waking
up to the sunrise and the roosters! Thank you for sharing this
wonderful home.

Thanks for a fabulous place. It had all the things I expected
and many extras that I didn't: nice ""boombox", beach stuff.
Only thing I'd wish for is a rack or something to help dry
clothes. A double sink would be much easier to do dishes also.
Some of my highlights: was lucky to be here during Queen Emma
festival at Koke'e State Park. Wonderful, lost of free hula
dancing. Robinson sugar plantation tour a little pricey at $30,
but was very interesting and informative. The Grove Farm
homestead museum tour is great and quite a deal at $5. The
Queen's Bath is a wonderful place to swim and relax. All the
gardens are wonderful - Allerton Gardens, McBryde Gardens and
Limehuli Garden on the North Shore. In the last one, I told
someone coming coming in that they estimate 1 - 1 1/2 hrs, and I
spend 1 hr 45 minutes and I am not even a plant person. Did a
helicopter tour with Inter-Island. What a wonderful tour and
quite an experience with no doors!!! (and added private waterfall).
The Kilauea Lighthouse and marine Bird Sanctuary is wonderful.
A great video in the building by the lighthouse. Supposedly a
great place for whale watching Jan - March. So many memories
I could fill the book.
Looking forward to Kauai Museum on my way out (perhaps should
have started there). Thanks for the home away from home.

Dear Jack, Dorinda, and Mark
My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous time here on Kauai.
We traveled from as far West as we can go and as far North. We
saw the beautiful Napali Coast by land, sea and air. The hike
to the waterfall is pretty brutal, but well worth the effort!
Next time we will go the full 11 miles and camp. Air Kauai was
a blast - a wonderful way to see the island. And last, but not
least, Kauai Sea Tours (Catamaran) was probably the highlight.
There is nothing like the Napali Coast by boat. Delicious!
We've done so much I can't possibly write about it all. But what
a beautiful island to explore.
Finally, we enjoyed the condo and the
peacefulness and convenience it offers. I cannot find one thing
wrong. We replace that one beach chair that was broken (a
necessity) and we left some reef walkers behind (size 6,9) that are
key to a cut-free snorkel. Enjoy! And the roosters, chickens,
are fantastic. Even though they can be annoying in the A.M. they
bring the island a sense of wild - and it's hard to eat chicken
when they are around! Much Mahalo!! We look forward to coming
back here on our anniversary.

We enjoyed the condo, but have a few suggestions. A folding clothes
rack would be great to put in shower for suits and towels - not
enough places to dry things. Linens need to be updated. Dust
ruffle is ripped and towels are frayed. Also, rainbow colored
beach chair was broken, so only had one beach chair.
Went on boat ride with HoloHolo Charters which was great. We had
perfect weather for it. A stronger ceiling fan would be nice and
one in the kitchen. Condo was very clean. Great view from the lanai.
Good location and quiet. Thanks.

We enjoyed hiking in Waimea Canyon, especially the canyon trail to
Waipo'o Falls - this is mucho payback for very little effort!! We
also loved swimming in the Wailua Falls, as well as Queen's Bath,
Ke'e Beach and Poipu Beach. We cruised the Na Pali Coast with Liko
Kauai Cruises and loved it, except for the snorkeling stop at
Nualolo Kai - it was fairly dark and dreary without many colorful
fish to see.
As for the condo, we found it very clean and conveniently located.
The extras (such as all of the towels and the cooking equipment)
were a great bonus, but it was very hot all the time. The ceiling
fan did not seem to have enough power to cool the place off, even
with every possible window open. It made it very difficult to
sleep comfortably at night. A light in the shower would be a nice
upgrade as well. Overall, we had an excellent time. Thank you for
opening your lovely condo to us.

We enjoyed our stay here and Kauai. It is a nice place and close
to many locations. The only things we would suggest is getting
a new coffee pot and it would have been nice if there was a
package of coffee to go along with it. It would have also been
nice if we knew contractors were going to work on the roof during
our stay. Other than that the cleanliness was much appreciated.
Thank you,

We enjoyed your condo very much. It's a great location, friendly
residential feel. The view from the lanai gave us many beautiful
sunrises. This is a great way to visit Hawaii. Some of our
highlights were: Alerton garden Tour with a great tour guide, "Dr.
Bob", Ke'e Beach and Queen's Bath on the North Shore and Blue
Dolphin Charters tour of NaPali coast. Waimea Canyon and Kokee
Park were wonderful places as well.
We were here during some heavy trade winds ... the wind whistles up
the stairwell and is pretty noisy coming through the slats on
front door. It took a couple of nights to get used to it! But
the winds died down the last few nights.
This is a very friendly neighborhood. We enjoyed ourselves. Thanks
for a lovely, clean, peaceful place to stay.

Had a wonderful time and enjoyed the studio very much. We came
intending to kick back for 2 weeks and do very little - mission
accomplished! We contributed a grill, fan, and 2 beach chairs.
Hope to return again. Thanks for sharing your home.

We had a perfect stay - great weather, beautiful beaches, nice surf,
convenient location. The only missing item I can think of is a beach
chair. Thanks for a great vacation and now back to the ftz.

Celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary... and finally making
it to Hawaii for the 1st time since our wedding.
Explored the entire island. Agree Wil Squires helicopter tour -
cramped knees, pilot's voice hard to understand. Beach House
restaurant (across the street) most fabulous view and food! 2nd
best Wrangler in Waimea.
We mainly came to relax and that was accomplished. We love your
studio. Appreciate cleanliness! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy
the ambiance of Kauai from such a perfect location.

Got married April 11 on the North Shore, camd down to Poipu for
the honeymoon. Great snorkeling! Puka Dogs were tasty. Kauai
is a beautiful island with such a diverse ecosystem. I'm sure
we will return to discover even more. Thank you for sharing
this home away from home. Mahalo!

Thanks for sharing your 'home away from home' with us. It was
perfect - location - size and awesome gardens! Being professional
photographers we had wonderful photo opportunities on this beautiful
island! Unfortunately the only thing not perfect was the weather.
We hit a couple of weeks of unstable weather. But hey, it beats
the -20 degrees at home with snow.
Shave ice was a new experience - cool! Snorkeling was fun too!
We discovered 'plate lunches' they are delicious.
Thanks again, God Bless,

Dear Jack, Dorinda, and Mark,
We enjoyed our visit to the beautiful island of Kauai. Thank
you for this great little space. We loved the various amenities
- mats for the beach, cooler and umbrella. I agree with the
others that mirror and hooks would be a great addition. Our
highlights of the trip were a helicopter ride - Jack Harter - our
pilot Mark was great. Snorkeling out front and at tunnels. Great
sunsets at the Beach House and the gift of the spirit of the island.
Thanks

Had a great time! Lovely place and so much beauty around to see.
Went on Will Squires helicopter - great views and nice ride ( a bit
cramped on the knees). John our pilot was very strange and didn't
interact with the people in our heli. Went to a luau at the Hyatt,
It was nice but didn't flow as well as the Hyatt's in Maui and it
was more expensive. Sunset cruise with "Andy" very expensive for
what you get. They were generous with the "Sneeky Tiki" but $59
for a boat ride and a few chicken wings is pricey. Went snorkeling
at Poipu Beach that was fun. Saw a lot of fish where snorkelers
had fish food the fish almost attack you.
Need another mirror here and a cheap flotation board would be nice.
It's handy to have the mats too and the cooler was handy too. More
hooks would be good idea.

We love the place - like to sit on the balcony in the a.m. to enjoy
the views and the sun. I can easily do without a mirror but miss
the following: a salad spinner, hooks for a sponge and bathing
suits in the shower, and a rack to dry dishes.

P.S. found the rack - sorry

To Our Guests,
Welcome to our condo. We hope you enjoy your stay on the island
as much as we do. It has been 12 years now that we have been
coming to Kauai and in particular, the South Shore.
This condo is owned by our friend, Mark, who lives on the island.
We help fix it up and try to make it a perfect place for you to
spend your vacation on Kauai. Prince Kuhio Resort is our home
away from home at least once a year. We think you will love this
location and our condo.
Please let us know what you enjoyed most about Kauai and how we
can make your stay more enjoyable the next time.
