Prince Kuhio #102 Guest Book

Nacy & Walt / Jack & Dorinda
Just wanted you to know how nice it is to find a condo so well kept. It shows the
evidence of real care. We waited 25 years to come to Hawaii. First honeymoon for
us! And this year we visited Kauai! We made all our own meals and found that to
be much more relaxing. I'm guessing you are a bit frustrated with all the changes
here but I guess that is part of the cost of having a piece of paradise like you do.
Jennifer and I enjoyed our stay and wanted to relay our story.
We were snorkeling at Tunnels; came face to face in the water with a monk seal! We'll
never forget this trip and want to thank you for a nice place to stay. Not sure if we
caused it, but there is a minor damage to the front door near the screen. The wind
caught it once and slammed it. We didn't notice it when we came.

Dear Nancy & Walt
Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. It has been just perfect - we felt very
comfortable here and we had everything we needed. This spot in Poipu is great - we loved
snorkeling across the street and exploring the beaches down past the Grand Hyatt on the dirt
road - we read about that in this journal and decided to check it out - glad we did! On
of our favorite days here in Kauai was the morning we took a cruise to the NaPali Coast -
it was amazing! We went with the Captain Andy 5 1/2 hour snorkel crise and would recommend
it to anyone - it was a great way to see that side of the island. Another favorite day
was spending the afternoon at Lumahai Beach on the North Shore and having lunch in Hanalei.
We ate at the Hanalei Gourmet and had a great sandwich there. Our honeymoon in Kauai
has been wonderful and we are sad to leave. It has been a beautiful and adventurous trip
that we will never forget. Hopefully, we will come back someday!

Our quiet Kauai is changing . More traffic, more building. Our 17 year old grandson
Adam came with us to help do some repairs. He loved swimming with the turtles across
the road. He learned to surf and boggie boarded at Brenneckies. He loved the ocean.
He is a life guard so he thoroughly enjoyed the water. may you all enjoy your time
here.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. My daughter (14) and I had a wonderful time
together. Our summer vacation was a mother and daughter adventure!! We had lots of fun
getting lost and making sure the GPS was taking us to the right places. What a beautiful
island! We also had the time to visit Oahu and we found Kauai to be just perfect for us.
Lots of fun tubing and snorkeling here. Yes!! Front door not working very well.

Aloha - Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us! This was our first
trip to Kauai - we picked the perfect place to enjoy our honeymoon. It was
so nice having a furnished place to stay - we had everything we needed. The
only thing I would change about this unit is the front door. We had problems
trying to get it to unlock. Other than that we loved it and would love to come
back again someday.

Aloha! What an amazing place in the world you have here. Your unit has the
best view here. We have been snorkeling and diving everyday. The weather was ideal.
Thank you again for everything. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful relaxing time in Kauai. Your condo is in a great location. Great
to walk to the beach and short drives to other beautiful spots. The Beach house
restaurant is great across the street. Wouldn't recommend the Sunday Brunch at Gaylords
at the Kilohana Plantation. The setting is lovely but the service was not good and not
much variety in the food.
We appreciate how clean the condo was right away and felt more welcomed because of it.
The beach stuff was...
(sorry but there was no more writing after that in the book)
March 27 - April 2, 2008
What a blessing this place was for us! This was our first trip to Hawaii and we are
already planning our return trip. We were celebrating 15 years of marriage and a much
needed break from the hustle and bustle of life in the city. We had such a relaxing
time here! Not to mention seeing some of the most beautiful sights ever (waimea canyon,
Napali coast - via zodiac raft trip) fish and turtles across the street and sunsets.
We had some great food too - Beach House Restaurant, Yum Cha, Poipu Beach Broiler were
our favorites.

Hello Walt & Nancy (and Mark, Jack & Dorinda)
Came to find you through a simple Google search. Dorinda was great in
responding quickly and since her units here and across the street were
full (thank god!) we had a chance at your place. I don't think there
is a better one in the building. It was clean when we arrived and the
grounds people did a great job after the storm. We had an awesome day today
(our last)! The pool was cool (or cold by our northern standards). A warm
hot tub would really be nice in the rain.
Thanks

You are very lucky. We were fortunate to use your property. I
will always suggest staying here.
We snorkeled with the turtles all week. We live on the East
Coast. Hopefully progress won't ruin your tranquility. I
would sell now. Thank you for everything!

Thanks for thinking of everything we might need: Blender, beach chairs,
cooler, fly-swatter, scissors. Don't think there was anything we looked
for that you didn't have available.
Enjoyed Canyon drive and trip to North Shore (Tunnels Beach). We
used to live in Kona and had spent 9 days there before our 3 days
here. Very different personality to compare between 2 islands.
Puka Dogs was a treat. Saw them on Travel Channel - glad we went.
Hope to return soon.

Thank you for a wonderful time in your condo. We had a great
time. Good weather - a bit windy - temp was perfect 82-86.
Watch the windows. Lots of red dirt blowing around.
Perfect place for a 5:30 am sunrise from the lanai - nice charm :)
Snorkeling was good - Lots of surfers out. Looking for a good dinner?
Hyatt Tide Pools is fantastic. No better around. Condo had everything
we needed. It was perfect. We will be back. I will miss Hawaii. I
took over 500 pictures so I will have good memories :)

Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful condo! We spent
the second 1/2 of our honeymoon here and it will definitely be hard
to go home. Thanks for the internet use! It really helped us when
looking for our next adventure! Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour was
fantastic! They even have an option for you to buy a DVD of your
trip.

Oh how we hate to leave this beautiful place! Thanks so much,
Walt and Nancy for opening your wonderful home to us. We've
looked at other resorts around this lovely island and will still
choose this place.
What an amazing honeymoon this has been. We hit most of the high
points and have hyet to be disappointed. If you're on a budget,
blow 90 minutes on a timeshare presentation at the Beach Boy Resort
in Kapaa and save a ton of money on your activities. Call John
at 647-0854 and let them hook you up. We took Island helicopters
55 minute tour and paid $200 for 2 flights. A word of advice
however, even if you don't normally experience motion sickness, buy Benine
or Dramamine and take one the night before and one an hour before
your flight. I wish I had. Island provides a great tour and safety
is foremost. John also got us 2 for 1 on Blue Dolphin Charters 5 1/2
hour morning cruise. Ask for Captain Mike. He and his crew are
awesome! We probably saw 50 dolphins and several sea turtles. Early
October was nice water but the surf was just beginning to change more
into winters more choppy and higher waves. Oh, see note on motion
sickness advice on previous page. I took it myself for the boat
trip and had smooth sailing.
We rented snorkel equipment at Snorkel Bob's even though Boss Froggs
in Kapaa has an online 2/1 coupon because Snorkel Bobs is much more
convenient. Right there in Koloa. The bsic $9/person suited us fine.
You are fortunate to be staying right across the streety from one of
the best snorkel spots on the island. The lawn in front of the Beach
House is also a great place to watch the sunset. We loved snorkeling at
Tunnels on the North Shore. The underwater rock structure is amazing.
And while you're talking to John be sure to get 2/1 dinner coupons
for Wahoos in Kapaa. It was the best dinner we had on the island.
I can't spell the entree we had - Kampechi, maybe, but it's a native
fish, pan fried and stuffed with a crab, shrimp and cheese sauce.
It was to die for! Be sure to get the coupon though. Entrees start
at $25 per plate.
We saw lots of sights - Spouting Horn, Waimea Canyon, three major
waterfalls. One little known gem is Mahalapu Beach down past all
the resorts in Poipu. The paved road ends but keep going several
miles down the dirt road. Turn right at the dead end and park in the
second little parking area. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded.
We loved the tourist shopping booths at Spouting Horn. The
prices were great and we bought souveners for the family there.
We are finishing our honeymoon with a week in Maui. We hope and pray
our condo there is as lovely as this one. We appreciate how well
stocked you keep this condo. Everything we needed in the kitchen
was there, from Tupperware to the blender and can opener. Our only
suggestion would be to upgrade the cooler. We bought a collapsible
one and will likely need it on Maui. Otherwise, we would have left
it for others to enjoy. We did leave behind some foodstuffs that
will hopefully be enjoyed by the next guests. We certainly
appreciated what others had left behind for us.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon on Kauai. Mahalo,
Walt and Nancy. We'll be calling when we're ready to return :)

Sep 1-8,
It was grerat having your condo to call home on this trip to
Kauai! We enjohyed the personal touches - the nice lanai
chairs - the bird book - thoughtful conveniences.
Staying on the sunny South Shore was a nice change especially
on the day we hiked in the rain - mud! - back on the Kalalau Trail.
Our favorite restaurant this trip was the Kiahuna Plantation but
the sunset at the Beach House was nice.
The assortment of palm trees around the pool is beautiful! The
groundskeeper was always busy! Sigh ... we hate to leave but will
return!

Thanks for sharing the condo! It's in a great location and the
snorkeling across the street was great! Even the threat of Flossie
didn't bring us down.
I would like to second the request for upgraded bedding. After
long days of hiking, snorkeling and being active, an upgraded bed
would be nice. We left a few non-perishables. Hopefully they will
keep for the next guest.
Thanks Again!

Walt and Nancy,
What a glorious week here in paradise. We explored and enjoyed
so much on the garden island. The Beach House across the way was
awesome for the sunset views, ambience and tropical libations.
The condo was comfortable, well-stocked and very clean. Thanks for the
aloha energy that's present here. It was an unforgetable trip. My
one suggestion would be to upgrade the bed linens, pillows to down
or duvet - however, I am "high maintenance" in sleep. :)
It's a lovely place!

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful condo with us.
It is beautiful and the view off the lanai is wonderful. It

Thank you for sharing your house. The added touches - tile and nice
furniture on the lanai were appreciated.
Our favorite beach by far was Tunnels on the North Shore and our
NaPali tour on HoLo tours to the forbidden island was spectacular.
The snorkeling was awsome!
Were back to our house in the cool North with fond memories.
