Prince Kuhio #211 Guest Book - Year 2010
Nov 30, 2010
What a peacefull and beautiful vacation! Tims to think, pause,
play, swim, anorkel, take long walks and meet so many happy
people ...
Past vacationers have told all about the special places they found. We
hope the next visitors find as much pleasure and passion for this island
as we did.

Jack & Dorinda,
Thanks so much for a wonderful first experience in Kauai. We were
very happy with all the amenities of your condo and particularly
enjoyed the notes in the Ultimate Guidebook. The weather has
cooperated with only half a day of rain. We are both golfers
and enjoyed the vistas (and price) of Kukuiolona (although the rental clubs
were not great) but our favorite was Puakea. We were able to drive from the
Waimea Canyon to Ke'e Beach in our time here. But we must come back
as we have so much more to see and do. We particularly enjoyed the
sunsets across the street - and the pool is great to swim a few laps!
Merci pour tout ... a la prochaine!

Aloha Jack & Dorinda,
We have truly enjoyed our stay in your condo. The location
can't be beat! So much thought to the little extras that
were so appreciated! It was our 2nd trip to the island so
we tried to do some things we missed the first time. We did
a helicopter tour with Jack Harter Tours but but I think any of the
companies would do a great job! It was amazing !! We tried to do
a sunset dinner cruise but the weather did not cooperate! We
drove to the North Shore and finally found Tunnels Beach! It was
beautiful but high surf wouldn't allow snorkeling or swimming.
There is another beach just down from Tunnels that was easier to park
at and you could walk 1/2 mile to Tunnels. Went back to Ke'e Beach
always a great beach. We visited Grove Farms, it was an interesting
2 hour tour of the Wilcox family. We tend to be tightwads (I prefer
"thrifty") so we are always looking for inexpensive food and
attractions. We were appreciative of the grill and cooked out a
few times. Koloa has a great place that we loved called Sueoka's
Snack Shop. They have great plate lunches and dinners. We also
went to Big Save and got subs from Subway and took them to Poipu
Beach (great beach!) (thanks for supplying the cooler and ice
pack!). We didn't drive up to Waimea Canyon this time but saw it
from the air. A definite thing to do one way or the other! We did sacrifice
our time to try and find the best shave ice. We tried a different
one very day! The best one for the money was probably JoJo's, but
we prefered the one on the highway, not the one around the corner.
Still think Walmart has the best prices on Souveniers, at least
key chains, magnets, etc. We had a little trouble with the
wireless (thanks for calling and checking!). The Luau at Smiths was
a pretty good show. Best advice ever though is to read the Ultimate
Kauai Guidebook! That guy knows Kauai!!

Jack & Dorinda,
Thanks for preparing such a lovely place to stay! We really appreciated
the snorkeling gear and beach supplies. Slso, THAT BED! After we flew
in from Ne, we had to attend a luau at the Hyatt (amazing Mai Tai's) and
we were exhausted. And will never forget how good it felt to sink
into that big, soft, bed and pull the covers up to my chin! The guide
to Kauai was helpful. Thanks for that!
We will definately book a stay here when we come back and after the
rave reviews we gave about the condo, I think our family will be
looking you up too. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Thanks Dorinda and Jack for such a comfortable and accomodating place
to stay! Our 2 weeks were everything we hoped it would be. We
REALLY enjoyed having "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook" as it was
recommended to us before we left home but we couldn't find it in
our town. All the "high-lites" and comments were much appreciated!!
We look forward to returning in the future.
Mahalo!!

Dear Jack & Dorinda -
We came back to this condo, this time for 2 weeks. Planning our next
trip for 3 weeks in 2012!
We were able to see alot more of the island on this trip. Lots of
golf ... found the "Kikiolona" G C for a real bargain too! :-)
Recommend the Mermaid Cafe in Kapaa for fish tacos! Keoki's restaurant in
Poipu for "early bird special (4:45 to 5:45pm). Love the sunsets and
sunrises - this is truly a paradise! We don't want to go home! We love
your condo - it is very accomodating for us! The bed is comfy - which
is important to us.
Aloha until next time!

We have so enjoyed Kauai and your condo this week! We stayed here
5 years ago when we got married on Maha'ulepu Beach and were lucky
enough to come back and celebrate our anniversary this summer.
We had a wonderful and relaxing time snorkeling with the Honus
across the street, boogyboarding at shipwrecks and being lazy at
Poipu Beach. A highlight of this trip was the Waimea Canyon drive
which we didn't have the chance to do the last time we were here.
We recommend it to all since it is only half a day up and back
and you can stop at JoJo's for Shaved Ice and Salt Pond Beach on
the way home. We had a lovely picnic at the Lokee grounds. We
also had an amazing anniversary dinner at Tidepools. Order the
Opah if available! We love this spot on the island and we hope to return
every 5 years at least. It's a great escape. Our family also highly
recommends your Kuhio Shores 115 Condo. Hopefully for our 10th we can get
the whole family here again for a reunion. Thanks for everything!

P.S. for the grill masters out there, Costco in Lihue has fresh fish
for great prices. We used the charcoal grill for Ahi and bacon-wrapped
Ono - excellent!

We came to Kauai to get married and we experienced a lot more. We
were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and warm
breezes. It is a definite that we will return in the future. Thank
you for sharing your home and letting us make it ours for the time
we were here.
Aloha

Hey Jack & Dorinda
We're not looking fwd to leaving this lovely, tranquil place but all
good things must come to an end. It was our first time in Kauai and
we hope to return. As all your other guests have mentioned, the
amenities of the condo were much appreciated. A coffee bean grinder!
Ya hoo! Beach stuff! YES - we tried to do most of the touristy attractions
but needed more than 9 days in which to accomplish them. Another reason
to return to paradise and your condo - It's so convenient.
Great places to eat: The Beach House, Plantation Inn, Casa Damicia,
Bubba Burgers Yumi and great shrimp dinners from the shrimp truck plus
the shrimp station.
Will miss the great tropical breezes and the lull of ocean waves.
There was a full moon when we were here. Moonlight on the ocean
- superb. Go Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers.

Well, it took a little longer than expected to return to your island
home but I made it and had a really good time. Two weeks just seemed
to fly by. Getting to meet you and Dorinda and having dinner was
fantastic. Anyone who stays at PK in one of your units is truly
fortunate to have you guys providing the accommodations! I've said
it before and I'll say it again and again - you're the best!
Wish I could go on and on about what I did but truth be known, I was
a total slug and took the entire 2 weeks to just relax by the pool,
Beach & BBQ. I look forward to a return and staying in 114 and
possible someday being an owner/neighbor of you and PK's family.
Mahalo for my last day accommodations, it makes the long trip home
a little easier.

Thanks for the great accommodations! We had a wonderful time here on
the island. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, beaches, tropical plants,
love the variety of palm trees, snorkeling, biking, seen monk seals and turtles, Roosters!!
Thanks again!
